“Anonymous #2”

“Anonymous #2”

I have my moments of seriousness and curiosity… These are acrylic paintings I created for the State of The Art show at the World Ski & Snowboard Festival (Canada):
“ANONYMOUS:  Dead Sea Birds Under Stormy Skies”The five paintings in this series are the start of an exploration and curiosity over the growing number of discoveries of “wrecks”, which are large numbers of sea birds washing up dead or near dying along many shores around the world. Some blame storms, some blame a lack of food and some blame disease from algae blooms. It is so far deemed as just a part of migratory life, but the numbers are growing. I have always found these birds to be elegantly designed, even when reclined in death. Here I lay them to rest under the skies I imagine they were in when they fell back to earth.
